Charles Thomas Booth was born January 12, 1910, in Penacook, N.H. He received his commission as ensign in the U.S. Navy in 1931. He advanced through the ranks to rear admiral in 1959, and served as commander of Carrier Division Seven from 1945 to 1946. Booth died on February 21, 1989, in Greenville, S.C. Townsend, R. L. (Robert Lee), 1911-1987

Robert Lee Townsend (b. Aug. 2, 1911, Clarksville, Ark.-d. Dec. 19, 1987), vice admiral in the U.S. Navy and aerospace company executive, received his commission as ensign in the Navy in 1934. He advanced through grades to the rank of vice admiral in 1969. He commanded the Naval Air Force, U.S. Atlantic Fleet, from 1969 until his retirement in 1972. From the description of Townsend, R. L.
